About the Job
The role:
- £28–£30 per hour
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30 am start
- 8.5 hours on site, with 8 hours paid
- 6-month contract
- Start date TBC
We’re looking for candidates with:
- A recognised mechanical engineering qualification, such as HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3
- Relevant mechanical engineering or heating & ventilation qualifications
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter
- Good awareness of health & safety
- A valid driving licence
- CSCS Gold Card
- Thames Water Passport – training can be provided if required
- Good physical fitness for the requirements of the role
- Own mechanical fitting tools, including drills, sockets and spanners
- Own PPE, including orange hi-vis
A vehicle and necessary equipment will be provided where required for the work.
Please note: travel time is not paid and accommodation is not provided, so candidates will need to be able to travel to the Thamesmead site.
