About the Job
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee projects across Windsor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, building construction, refurbishment, refitting, housebuilding, or apartment development. This role is responsible for managing resources, labour, subcontractors, equipment, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of all project activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of structural repair contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Plan and allocate resources, labour, materials, and equipment efficiently across multiple projects.
  • Develop and produce Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and full RAMS documentation in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with site teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders, maintaining clear communication throughout the project.
  • Manage project variations, contract changes, and cost controls.
  • Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Site Manager, Project Manager, or similar role in:
  • Civil engineering.
  • Building construction.
  • Refurbishment / refitting.
  • Housebuilding or residential apartment projects.
  • Strong understanding of  methodologies.
  • Demonstrable experience preparing and managing RAMS, Method Statements, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent organisational and resource‑planning skills.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and management capabilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and CDM compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach.
  • Competent in project scheduling and reporting.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
